Rimmel - Hide the Blemish
I absolutely LOVE this product. I have very pale skin that is very oily and very acne prone and I needed something to help cover up the nasty cystic acne I get and the dark circles under my eyes.
I am so happy I found this! I bought it in the lightest shade, like I said I'm really pale, and it works WONDERS. I wear tinted moisturizer instead of foundation because I hate that cakey heavy feeling, and then apply this to my ugly areas. I use my fingertip to warm the product and then pat and blend it over any blemishes and my under eye area. It stays all day, doesn't look cakey and gives great coverage. I would highly reccommend to anyone looking to cover a few problem areas. I will definately be repurchasing!

Maybelline Full 'n' Soft Review
What I like about this mascara is that it does exactly what it says it will do - it barely feels like I have any mascara on at all. There isn't even a hint of brittleness. The other positive is that the brush is really easy to use and is so far the only one of the ones I've tried that manages to coat all my lower lashes without leaving excess residue on my skin, or looking too bold and unnatural. No complaints about the price either - $10 on sale at Kmart.
That said, I won't be repurchasing this. I have short straight lashes and this won't hold a curl at all, but this is great for anyone who has reasonably long lashes and just wants some extra definition.

Nivea - A Kiss of Flavor Cherry
Oh, I love this stuff! I was looking for a daily lip balm that looked like a more pigmented version of Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm, and this is it. I got it at CVS at a very inexpensive price, though it was a bit tricky to find. (I found it packaged by all of the other Nivea products, not by other lip balms like I thought they would be.)
You know how most tinted lip balms are in overly pigmented, fake colors? Well, this one isn't. When putting on one coat, it goes on rather sheer; however, you can build up the color by adding more coats. Also, if you're in a cinch, you can use your fingers to apply this to your cheeks as a blush. The color is a cool light red at first, but later fades to a reddish-pink color. The more layers of this you put on your lips, the brighter and more vibrant the shade will be.
This is very smooth, and it smells sweet, like cherry or cranberry popsicles. It reminds me of long, nice summers by the pool! (It smells very nice to me, but others might not agree.) It doesn't taste like anything, for those of you who want to know. I'll also add that I love the packaging on this.
All in all, I absolutely love this stuff! It looks great with Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm over it, or with Bonne Bell VitaGloss2O A Splash of Color in Sheer Strawberry on top. The only thing that I wish it had was SPF, though. That's the only downside that I see to this product. Otherwise, I absolutely love it.

Nivea - Nivea Lipcare Caregloss and Shine
I love lipgloss but hate how sticky the majority of glosses on the market are. I've tried loads. I actually got one of these Nivea Caregloss & Shines free, and it is GREAT. The tube has an angled applicator so it's nice and easy to apply, and the texture is like wearing Vaseline on your lips so it moisturises as well as giving you sheer colour.
I've got one in pink, which was the freebie, and red. The pink isn't my favourite. It's quite pale pink on me, and not really my cup of tea in terms of colours as I tend towards either neutral browns or darker pinks. The red is gorgeous though, it's almost fuschia on me rather than an orangey red. I've been hunting for a non-sticky lipgloss for ever and this is it - and it cost less than 4$

Tips For Red Lips
Tips for Red Lipstick
- Cream or matte lip color is best for a strong red shade.
- A true red is better bought straight from the store instead of trying to mix your own.
- Darker shades are suitable on larger lips as the deep reds have a tendency to make lips look thinner.
- Ultimately red lipstick is optimum for a younger woman, but not too young. The bright red color is too dramatic for teens and tends to make an older women look more aged.
- When mixing your own lip colors, use red as an addition to brighten up your combination. Just add in small amounts.
- If red is your favorite lipstick - but it doesn't work with your skin type, tone it down with a neutral color and create your own personalized lip covering.
- Add a little shimmer to your red lipstick to combat the tendency that red has to make your lips look smaller.
- Even if red lip color is definitely not your shade, keep a small tube around to seal your love notes with a kiss of red.

ELF Super Glossy Lip Gloss Candle Light
To be honest I only pruchased this product because of the amazing reviews. I was shopping for makeup brushes on the E.L.F. website recently, and because I had a 50% off everything coupon I went ahead and got a whole bunch of their products that had good reviews.
For $1 this product is a steal (as well as most other E.L.F. products that I have tried).
The color is a soft champagne/nude that will look good on pretty much any skin tone. I tend to this of such shade as better suited for people with a slightly darker complexion, but I am super pale and this gloss still looks great.
The staying power is great and comparable to any other higher priced gloss. The scent was a huge surprise for me since I expected it to smell vanilla/caramel-y due to the color, but it actually smells like Smarties (to me at least).
Love it and will repurchase for sure!

Rimmel London Blush in Santa Rose
I've been using this blush daily for a few months and I love it. I even have a backup.
As many of the reviews have stated, the packaging is very minimal. There is barely any excess plastic around the blush pan so it is great for traveling or a makeup bag with many other products. I have not had any issues with opening.
There is no mini brush included (unlike the new Rimmel blush packaging) so you will need your own brush. I use an angled blush brush and lightly swipe once or twice for each cheek. It is quite pigmented and lasts most of the day on me.
Looking at the blush with the cover closed, it seems to be a dusty rose. That is because the clear cover is tinted blue. The actual color is a much more peach-ish toned pink.
The amount of blush you get (0.14oz) for the price you pay (approx $4) is awesome. It is often on sale as a BOGO or BOGO 50% plus coupons.
In conclusion, awesome and inexpensive blush that will last a very long time.

MAC - Rebel Lipstick
Ok, so when I went out to get this I was looking for a fuschia but a more sophisticated one, not a bombshell/bimbo hot pink one. This is the perfect shade for what I wanted. It's a dark, dramatic, goth berry-fuschia with a satin finish, aka with a slight sheen to it rather than any glossiness whatsoever. When I asked the makeup artist for it, she gave me a doubtful look, saying "Is it for you?" and I said "Yes", and then she went "It's going to look awesome with your coloring!". He he, which is true, it suits pale skinned/black haired girls amazingly. She had the same coloring as me and had something similar on, and it looked fantastic as well. So, highly recommended for fair skin tones - on darker ones it looks a bit wrong, kind of like that cheap neon fuschia I was trying to avoid in the first place. Will repurchase.

Wet 'n' Wild - Holiday 2010 LE Night Elf eyeshadow palette
Wow!!!!!! I'm very happy that I decided to purchase this LE palette after all. I kept seeing it at my local grocery store and was on the fence about it for the longest time. The reason I decided to purchase it is because it's the most unique of all the WW color icon palettes out so far (even the regular collection). I swatched all the colors and they are so creamy (except the black glitter). All of them have some sparkles to them, none are matte. The red color is really nice, but not as pigmented as the rest of the colors. You'll probably have to use a base for the red. The only color I probably won't wear much is the black glitter color. It has chunky glitter that will probably end up all over my face. The eyeliner it came with is okay but it has sparkles so I'm not too keen on it. This is a fabulous find for such a low price. Great for doing a festive look for an evening out. The only reason I wouldn't purchase again is because it's LE and because these colors will last me a long time.

Got2Be Comic Shimmering Serum
Don't you love chi silk infusion.. but hate the cost? Well, my new favorite serum is Got2Be Cosmic Shimmering Serum, it is a great $6.99 compared to the outrageous $20.99 that you have to fork over for 6 oz. of Chi Silk Infusion! This serum will keep fly-aways down and smooth out frizz. But what is really amazing is that it has tiny shimmering mica minerals to provide incredibly reflective multi-dimensional shine. Now don't get me wrong I love the Chi Silk Infusion.. But the shimmers pull it into a close second.
If you have this already you know what I'm talking about when I say unbelievable shine without looking the least bit oily! Remember, you only need one pump!

DIY Tips
Smokey eyes
'Smokey eyes quickly change your look from day to evening. It's easy to do; start with a dark, smokey charcoal colour such as Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Shadowstick in Black Pearl. Apply colour directly onto your eyelids with your finger, and blend-in. Using a lighter shade, apply this under the lower lashes, complete the look with black kohl along your lash line.'
Lush lips
'Vibrant red lips is a must this festive-season, with lip liner giving a precise pout. Use the liner to give a curved effect and to prevent the finish from looking too angular. Complete with a rich red colour, Estee Lauder's Signature Lipstick in Ruby is ideal; then you're ready to-go!'

Top tip
'My best festive tip to you is carrying a few essentials in your bag for quick top-ups during the evening. Blotting sheets, concealer and your favourite lipstick will see you through the night.'

Brights of Yesteryear: OPI Give Me the Moon
OPI Give Me the Moon was included in the 2007 Summer collection Night Brights. Not a particularly ‘bright’ color per se, but definitely a unique, interesting color. The base shade is like an icey gray but the dense blue iridescent shimmer gives it a bluish over all glow. It’s definitely a sheer-ish color but this swatch is only 3 coats.
