NYC lipsticks are extremely pigmented and moisturizing! I absolutely love them and they are super cheap, widely available, and always go on sale.
1. 405B Blue Rose - Fuchsia Pink with blue undertones. This is wearable but a little bit loud for me.
2. 308B Retro Red: I LOVE this color. It is a warmer red. Think gwen stefani red lips. Super pigmented. I like to pair this with a natural or smokey eyeshadow
3. 309B Sheer Red: though this appears dark in the pictures it applies like a berry (no pink though) red and is sheer. It is a wearable everydar red and i can't imagine this looking bad on anyone. For 99c give it a try!
the no flash swatch is very accurate of how this looks in real life on lips.

Double Up With MAC Haute & Naughty
Could it be that I've finally fallen in love with a MAC mascara? I'm a colossal fan of so many things from the brand (among them, Face & Body Foundation, Volcanic Ash Exfoliator, and just about any lipgloss item), but the mascaras have never, well...moved me.
Until now. Haute & Naughty is MAC's latest mascara offering, and while it has a ridiculous name - not to mention a tube that looks like it was designed by Christine Taylor's character in The Wedding Singer - the mascara itself ROCKS.
Haute & Naughty gives you two application options in one tube. Unscrew it from the sparkly purple cap, and you'll reveal a fat, fully-loaded brush. Unscrew from the pink cap, however, and it's a whole different ballgame. This action will pull the brush up through a narrow tube, wiping off most of the excess product.
This process is actually rather fascinating; I stared, open-mouthed, like a four-year-old, as the same brush appeared from the tube looking either fat and loaded up, or skinny and clean.
So how well does it work? Well, Sparky Purple, as I like to call it, delivers fat, bold lashes in just two coats. Awesome if you're a mascara application pro and/or you don't have the time or patience to carefully apply coat after coat. Relatively speaking, though, the formula is rather "wet," so if you're not careful you can end up with a gloppy mess. Just keep your hand steady and go for it. Swoop, swoop, and you're done.
On the flipside, Hot Pink allows for a much more controlled application. With one or two coats, you'll get a natural look, but keep building, and you can achieve some serious volume and length. The best part about this lighter application is that it manages to maintain AMAZING lash separation, coat after coat. To recap: if you're going for a natural look, or looking to add just a touch of mascara to lower lashes, 1-2 coats of Hot Pink'll do it for ya. And if you're looking for length, volume, and separation -- and have some time and patience to apply several coats -- Hot Pink delivers here too.
So, if you're looking for multiple options in one sparkly, 80's inspired tube, go for Haute & Naughty. Available now from MAC and Nordie's for $18.

Stocking Stuffers!!!!!
Top 10 Cosmetic Stocking Stuffers
Cosmetic gifts are the perfect stocking stuffers for her or him this holiday season. With so many options available, it can be a lot of fun to select gifts that will provide your recipient with enjoyment and aesthetic enhancement.
Skin care is important to most individuals-- men and women, dry skin or oily. During the winter, many individuals struggle to keep their skin looking moisturized and young. A wide range of moisturizers, lotions, and creams are available for both men and women. It’s a good idea to find out what skin type your recipient has to make your gift both personalized and more effective. If you don’t know, however, you will find plenty of moisturizing options available for most skin types. Skin care products for women are exceptionally abundant. You might consider purchasing something in her favorite scent, or selecting a face mask or nice exfoliating lotion. For men, you might select a cooling aftershave, or a moisturizing hair conditioner.
To give you some more specific ideas, here are ten great cosmetic stocking stuffers all priced under $50:
Venus Embrace by Gillette – Gillette may be the best a man can get, but they might want to consider changing their slogan to include women as well. With 5 blades, the Venus Embrace gives one of the closest shaves on the market – and for an affordable price. This little razor is a great gift for anyone who wants that smooth, silky feel. And, they offer a wide range of products for male grooming as well.
Brow Envy Kit by Too Faced Cosmetics – Great for the fashionista on the go, this portable kit gives eyebrows that elegant, celebrity-styled look at an affordable price. It includes dark and light powder, brow wax, brow pencil, stencils, brush and tweezers, all packaged in a trendy box with mirror.
Prevera – An anti-wrinkle cream might not sound like the most thoughtful gift, but believe us when we say that Prevera is a steal. With an impressive formula of wrinkle fighting peptides and other ingredients, you’d pay much more for a comparable anti-aging treatment, and the results speak for themselves.
Lavera Sun Screen Neutral – This effective, organic sun screen is a wonderful stocking-stuffer for the eco-enthusiast in your family. Not only does it contain all-natural ingredients, it protects from harmful UV rays and is great for sensitive skin.
Clinique’s 3-Step Skin Care System – When it comes to comprehensive skin care, Clinique offers an easy, effective three-step system that includes a facial soap, clarifying lotion and moisturizing gel. This is a great stocking-stuffer for anyone who takes skin care seriously.
MenScience Advanced Face Lotion – These days, taking care of your skin is important for men too. MenScience Advanced Face Lotion is a great oil-free moisturizer that gently smooths and hydrates the skin – perfect for the man in your life who wants to look fresh and rejuvenated.
Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion SPF 15 - Christmas is the season for…dry skin. A moisturizer is a terrific gift for the cold season. Olay’s Regenerating Lotion is loaded with the antioxidants, amino peptides and UV protection needed to combat winter dryness.
Freeze 24/7 PlumpLips Lip Plumper and Gloss – This fairly new has been touted as one of the most best lip plumpers available. It comes in a variety of colors, including clear (in case you can’t decide on the right shade). Its’ formula naturally enhances the color and fullness of anyone’s lips, making it the perfect stocking stuffer for the beauty enthusiast in your family.
Cosmetics Case – If you’re still not sure what to get, you can’t go wrong with a stylish, practical cosmetics case. For every day use, why not get a small case that will fit in a purse. Or, for the traveler, opt for something larger that will hold everything he or she needs for a long trip.

Best Eye Primer
Best Eye Primer Eyeshadow Base - Guerlain Ombre Eclat Eye Primer Beautifying Fixative
The best eye makeup base comes from Guerlain. I've tried lots of eye makeup primers from high end brands to drug store makeup. This particular item from Guerlin impressed me. It was love at first sight. With its very silky texture and a perfectly natural shade this eye primer is the best eye makeup base on the market.
Guerlain Ombre Eclat Eye Primer is a Makeup and Treatment in one.
Guerlain Ombre Eclat Eye Primer is a Makeup and Treatment in one.
This unifying base has been specifically designed to fix make-up for a perfect hold. It is also a treatment, rich in smoothing and moisturising agents, protecting the delicate eyelid against the harmful effects of ageing and the environment whilst smoothing and revitalising the eye area.
The perfect base for impeccably made-up eyes.
It comes in one single shade of radiant beige to suit all complexions.
HOW TO APPLY IT:
Tips from Creative Director Olivier Échaudemaison: “Apply to the eyelid before make-up using a brush or your fingertips. This soft, radiant beige base is perfect for all skin tones and can therefore be used on its own, as an eyeshadow, to brighten and revitalise the eyes."

Lip Balm Brawl
Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Colour Stick S5 Rosy Flush appeared darker, gloomier and warmer in its stick form, a true rosy colour in my opinion. Eyeko Frosting Fat Balm looked shinier, brighter, younger and perhaps cooler in the stick. However, upon swatching, both colours were rather close. The major difference between them was that Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Colour Stick S5 Rosy Flush was far more pigmented and Eyeko was opaque and sheer.
In terms of texture, they were completely two different things. Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Colour Stick S5 Rosy Flush wasvery smooth and glided on so effortlessly without noticing it being cream. The cream on the stick was transformed to a powdery finish on my skin almost instantly. It also appeared very matte.
Eyeko Frosting Fat Balm, however, was stickier in compression. Well, it's a balm! But please rest assured that stickiness was what I'd call balmy, unlike what you'd expect from a sticky lip gloss such as NARS, perhaps? Nope, it's totally different from that. I guarantee it's just balmy. And it dried to a dewy finish, not at all frosty or shining.
Application wise, Eyeko Frosting Fat Balm went on a lot sheerer and very easy to do too! Surprisingly, I found myself layering it after few light dabs (stamps) instead of sheering it out like I did with other coloured cream products, including Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Colour Stick S5 Rosy Flush. This character got an instant positive tick from me! I prefer a cream blush that can be built upon than needed thinning out as it's less likely for a klutz like me to make a fatal mistake .
Here is a FOTD example. You can see it's truly a fresh pink flush on my cheeks. Can I say that I love how much younger I look without much effort? Maybe I could use a product to reduce the puffiness under my eyes but this is as good as it gets I guess. :P

Black is Back
What Im Loving Right Now
Things I'm Loving Right Now
As a beauty blogger, I try out a ton of beauty and skin care products. As a result, my favorite beauty products seem to change constantly. Here are my three favorite products at the moment:
Revlon Matte Lipstick: this product's been around for awhile, but I've just recently started wearing this in "In The Red." It provides an intense amount of color and lasts for AGES on my lips. Since it's a matte lipstick, it does make my lips feel a bit dry, but it's not overly heavy, it's easy to apply, and I love the color.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil: this eyeliner just slides on. I have it in both black (Zero) and brown (Whiskey) and it's easy to use and blend. It also provides a great deal of concentrated color, so a little goes a long way. As a bonus, it makes my eyes look awesome!
